Firstly, congratulations on your decision to marry. I sincerely hope be able to be a part of your big day and the information on this site should help you make that decision. I’ll give you some basic preparation hints and let you know about the extra services I can provide as your celebrant.
I’m introducing myself this way for one very important reason. I think you should know what your Celebrant is going to sound like. Especially as I hope to be asking you both some very, very important questions on the day.
My job as your Celebrant is to make the ceremony work the way you’ve dreamt it and the way we’ve planned it. It can be a simple or not-so-simple ceremony, it can be indoors or outdoors, day or night …there are many choices..but I would love to have the chance to sit with you and show you all the options for making your ceremony not only special …but unique. Even though your wedding is a solemn occasion, it’s also a celebration of your love for each other….so together, let’s make it memorable.
It’s also your Celebrant’s job to make the ceremony as stress-free as possible. To me, that’s a very important consideration not to be taken lightly. No matter how much preparation you put into the day, it will all of a sudden be upon you. And they didn’t invent the expression ‘nervous bride and groom’ for nothing. So your Celebrant should be a calming influence on the day, guiding you and your guests through the ceremony & leaving you all to enjoy one of the most important days.
I have been a singer all my life and apart from the music you choose, I would be more than happy to start the Ceremony with a song, if you wished, as my gift to you. You will find some short examples here on this site of the sort of thing I do.. from modern ballads to the classic ‘Ave Maria’ are just examples. Please ask me about other music options when we get together.
